Pictures for Erin

Yes...that's Robert, Sarah and Jonathan at one of Dominic's football games. And yes, Jonathan is that tall. Sarah is doing really well at WSU. She lives in her own apartment and works full time at On The Border out east. I am very proud of her!

Ahhh....yes...this was Labor Day weekend at Tablerock. Note the relaxed look...it's called Mojito's!

The kids in the lake wearing "diapers" Robert resisted at first but we had him in one before the day was over. They all learned to knee board and we managed to bring all six of the kids home alive and well. Oh wait...make that seven...Devin brought a friend. Six boys and Felicia...poor girl!

Never too old to crash out on the couch in the middle of the day!

December

This is Robert playing "KU Man" when his friend Patrick was over. He found out last week that it costs $17,000 a year to attend school at KU. He is now studying even harder. Scholar Bowl is going well and he lettered a couple of weeks ago. He plays on the varsity team and attended an event in Topeka at Washburn University last weekend called a "Quest" It was an elimination and since his team was in the top 16 they will go back for the finals next month. Over 100 teams started!!

This is the little monkeys with their pumpkins. They each carved their own without my help. No one had to go to the ER for stitches! Go team! Note the mold in Felicia's...these pictures were taken when I was about to throw them away!
This is Dominic's football pic. That is him running towards someone. At the last game they called it over the loud speaker and I found out two things....1)My son is a good player and they called his name a lot. 2)They butchered his name over and over. It's now Dominique Barbara.
He is now in wrestling with the Carroll Junior Club. He weighs in at 88 pounds and got his first bloody nose last week. It's super hard work but he loves it. I guess every family has one!!
I am now doing yoga on a regular basis. The times work well with Dom's wrestling. I take Felicia with me sometimes because it never hurts to have a teenage girl find her inner peace!!

Beauty Queen

While I am not a huge fan of pagents in general, I do like the one that Felicia was in. They are not allowed to wear make-up and stress being strong girls and future leaders. They have three main competitions. One is formal wear as you can see of Felicia being escorted onto the stage in her beautiful blue gown! Another one is personal introduction. The have to wear a suit, walk out onto a stage in front of about 300 people and introduce themselves and tell a little about them. Felicia really nailed that one this year. Last year she sounded shaky and looked nervous. This year she owned it. The third one is interviewing. She had to go into a room and be interviewed by a panel of five. I was really proud of how much poise and confidence she had this year. I know I wasn't there at her age. On the final night they do a production number in matching pink! She didn't place but I couldn't have been more proud. The last picture is super cute! They still could pass as twins!

Washington

Washington D.C.! It was very hot and humid but wonderful. The conference was okay but playing tourist was fabulous! The first picture is the reflecting pool in between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. (Very Forrest Gump...."Jenny, Jenny") The second picture is the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetary. It was very official and touching. They do it every thirty minutes and it takes about 7 minutes to complete. It really moved me. The third picture is me in front of the White House and the last one is me and Theresa in front of the Capital Building.

Bad blogger

I must confess that I am not very good at remembering to blog. I do keep up with all of yours!

Dana-Not much better! I guess we will blame it on VBS!

Michelle-Jude reminds me so much of Robert. He didn't like to get his hands dirty either. Does he enjoy cooking shows? Maybe he has a calling?

Erin-Super blogger! I miss all of you!!! I want to see the babies again. Isabelle looks so grown up and the boys look smoochable!!

Cute, cute, cute

Ahhhh....Felicia and Dylan looking like they are shy. You wouldn't know it by how much time they spend on the phone. His 4 years of worshiping her finally paid off. She has deemed him worthy of being her boyfriend. (At least for now)
Anna....looking strangely like Mom on the Fourth of July. What a beauty!

Freaky Friday

Today was the big day! The boys are trained to wear contacts. It went pretty well even though Robert struggled. Of course today was nothing compared to the upcoming mornings of cursing and frusteration that are to come for the next couple of weeks. I am really surprised how much different Dominic looked. I forgot how yummy his chocolate milk eyes looked. He also looks a lot more grown up than he did a year ago.
Tornado Felicia blew through this afternoon in between Totus Tuus and spending the week at her grandparents. She loved camp and said that church camp was "way cooler" than she thought it was going to be. She has 10 new "BFF" to email!!!! She apparently spent a great deal of time playing in the mud based on the way her clothes look!!!

Off to camp!!

Joining the gang!!

Joining the blog club with my sisters! Not sure how to do all of the fancy stuff yet but I will work diligently to join the level of "coolness" that they have already acheived!!
